I’ve been working on a lengthy treatise on all this since October. I don’t have an end in sight, because many days I am just trying to survive as an autist in a world that is so absurd, cruel, illogical, and devoid of compassion that it fills me with rage. So I must say at this point, that Palestine must be free, what is happening there is definitely genocide, this is not in any way self-defense, and any mental acrobatics some people might do to say that it is self-defense is ridiculous and manipulative beyond words. It is gaslighting, pure and simple, in it’s most blatant form.

If you say bombing innocent civilians is self defense, let me remind you that in many places a person is required to have actively broken into and be inside your home in order for you to use lethal force to defend yourself. There is no pre-emptive self-defense recognized in courts of law for individuals. Just imagine a world in which individuals could kill another because they suspected that individual had intent to harm them. And in the International Court of Law, pre-emptive force is to be proportional to the imminent threat. If you need it explained to you just how un-proportional Israel’s attacks on Palestine have been since October 7, I do not know how to help you because you do not understand simple and obviously huge differences in numbers.

Furthermore, The UN Office on Genocide Prevention defines genocide as follows:

In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

1. Killing members of the group;
2. Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
3. Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
4. Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
5. Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

Israel has done at the very least the first four of these; obviously they have killed tens of thousands of Palestinians in a matter of months (a.)

This onslaught has caused serious bodily and mental harm to Palestinians (b.)

Israel has prevented food, water, and relief from reaching Palestinians, bombed relief workers, and instructed fleeing Palestinians to use certain routes, which Israel then bombed (c.)

The current conditions under Israel’s genocide are also preventing births, or greatly curbing the chances of successful ones, as they have bombed so many hospitals (d.)

Genocide is not only physically destroying a people, but also mentally. And it is clear from all of the above this is exactly what Israel has been doing to Palestinians, and it started way before October 7th.

This is the same shit, just different day and different people as far as the history of capitalism and imperialism are concerned. Capitalism has always been intertwined with racism and exploitation (thank you, Ibram X Kendi) and is also no stranger to genocide. With the United States as the leading empire power in the world, it is no surprise that this modern day imperialist genocide is happening with the support and funding of the United States.

If you don’t challenge bigotry whenever you come across it (you must not care about losing friends; these principles outweigh that); if you don’t call genocides genocides; if you mindlessly patronize huge, virtually monopolistic and all-powerful corporations without a thought; if you believe poverty is laziness and not a direct, engineered, requirement of the brutal Beast System of Capitalism; if you believe in the myth of a United States of America that ever lived up to its founding principles; you are what the Beast System of Capitalism needs to keep running smoothly. You are complicit in all of the gruesome crimes that this system inflicts upon its subjects around the world, every minute of every day.
